Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
Click the Download 64-bit button above to download ClownfishVoiceChanger-64bit.exe. Once downloaded, double-click the file to launch the setup wizard. If prompted by Windows User Account Control (UAC), click Yes to grant audio driver installation permissions.
During installation, Clownfish temporarily restarts the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder service. This allows Clownfish to place an audio processing object (APO) filter directly on your microphone capture stream without requiring third-party virtual audio cables.
Unlike standard applications with large windows, Clownfish runs silently in the background. Look in the bottom-right corner of your Windows taskbar (click the small ^ up arrow near the clock). You will see the Clownfish fish icon. Right-click the icon to access all controls.
Right-click the tray icon and select Set Voice Changer. Click on Alien, Female Pitch, Robot, or Helium to instantly activate the transformation. To hear how you sound, click "Hear microphone". Remember to uncheck "Hear microphone" after testing to prevent hearing an echo in Discord or games!

Verify Driver System Integration
In your Windows System Tray (bottom right near clock), right-click Clownfish → Setup → System Integration.
If it says "Install", click Install and restart Clownfish to bind the driver.
Check Windows Privacy Permissions
Windows 10/11 privacy protections can silently block desktop microphone access for third-party programs.
Ensure both "Microphone access" and "Let desktop apps access your microphone" are set to ON.
Prevent Echo & Feedback Loops
If you hear an echo or doubled audio, check your Clownfish monitor setting in the tray menu.
Uncheck "Hear Voice" if you only want Discord/games to hear the effect without hearing yourself in headphones.
Discord Audio Subsystem Fix
Discord Krisp noise suppression can aggressively cancel out pitch-shifted or robot vocal frequencies.
Set Noise Suppression to "None" or "Standard" so voice effects pass through clearly without cutting out.
